Broken Summers

The Sunshine, the trees,
the graceful blue seas,
the children at play,
rejoicing for a new summer day.
The flowers in a trance,
joining in the wind's dance,
The beauty, the summer feel,
feels completely unreal.
But the broken,
The unspoken,
The undesirable,
with pain so undeniable,
the broken summer feel,
is extremely real

Good Riddance

Here lays a girl well versed in tears,
who broke several hearts,
who caused many fears,
she tore many worlds apart,
and was whispered about in every ear.
Here lays a girl silently dying,
her heart torn and soul crying.
Here lays a girl nevermore,
begging and pleading,
and helplessly knocking on Heaven's door.

Slipping Back to Before

The tears keep falling,
My heart keeps tearing,
The words poison my mind,
Piercing and unkind,
They lace my veins,
driving me insane,
And I try hard to smile,
to hope everything is worthwile,
But I fell into a hole so dark,
and I cannot help but feel I am slipping back.

Tell Me

You want me to change,
into something less different,
something less strange,
in the name of commitment,
But your beautiful lies,
Make me weary,
Look me in the eyes,
and tell me,
what you see,
do I define inadequacy?
